Planning a trip to Fort Myers Beach? After seeing the images of Hurricane Ian it is understandable that you want to know more about updated conditions. There are so many reasons to come to Fort Myers Beach right now:
1. It’s not “high-season-like” crowded!
Seriously, it is much easier to get seated in a restaurant right now and many are open. Granted, there are some days and times where there is a wait-list, but its nothing like usual high season.
Restaurants open now as per the publish date of this post:
- DocFords, Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel locations are both open
- Dixie Fish
- Bonita Bills, a stranded boat from Ian sits “inside” the restaurant. Grab a picture, a crazy reminder of Hurricane Ian
- Fresh Catch Bistro, new location behind Publix
- Junkanoo, new location behind Publix
- Snug Harbor
- Margaritaville, several restaurants to choose from
- Diamond Head restaurants,Coste and Chloes are both open
- The Whale, nice temporary “restaurant” with seating for maybe 50
- Mojos, nice temporary “restaurant” with outdoor seating
- Yo Taco! You will find them in Times Square
2. Free shuttle is running. Jumping on it makes everything just steps away. It’s open-air and fun to people watch as you whisk by.
3. Times Square Clock. The Times Square clock is back and they chose to keep it the same style. It is beautifully nostalgic and you must take a picture as a keepsake.
We will do our best to update this list as we see restaurants open. Feel free to send us a note at [email protected] on all updates you may know about. We will do our best to keep this updated. We are eager to see Fort Myers Beach fully back very soon!
